a coincidental kpop experience u did not realize until later?

I was listening to BOF ost before I knew SHINee, it was Stand by me one of my favourites. Before I discovered Red Velvet, I downloaded and listened to the duet OST of Wendy and Seulgi from Red Velvet.

I remember Hate by 4Minute was huge on Musically and I become obsessed

There was a video on YouTube using 2NE1 I’m the best

Also 21th century by BTS was used a BGM for a VS Angel Video

I played just dance 2020 and my favourite song on there was kill this love - blackpink

I had no idea who they were... until I bothered to go on youtube and look at the actual music video!!

I remember watching SNSD's ITNW and thinking "woahh that's a lot of girls", but that was all about it, it left a neutral impression.

Fast forward to 2009, I came across to BIGBANG & 2NE1's Lollipop, and several clicks later I fell into the void. I should have known better, imagine being free from kpop

i remember playing ddr and one song that constantly came up was Nobody by wonder girls and i never realised it was kpop until i got into it much much later

When I was in primary school, K-Pop was basically UNKNOWN to my thoughts.

But I really really liked the song. Like really liked it that I found it.

I thought it was an English song! And then it sounded weird, I don't understand the "English" words.

A few years later, I realized that it was a K-Pop song.

That song was "NOBODY by Wonder Girls".

wonder girls nobody... every one was singing it in my primary sch, i didnt even know it was kpop cos i only heard the eng part. only when i came to know kpop after many years, i realized it was a korean/kpop song

I normally remove BG's that come on my suggested radio but Seventeen has really been catching my attention. I remember a few years prior I came across their MV's, idk why but seventeen keeps popping up.

Not an old one but it took me ages to know that Me Like Uh was a Jay Park song.

I thought it was one of those Western pop tracks that gets popular on the internet for a long time, until my sister tells me about this song of him.

BTS appearance in Sister Slam Dunk. I remember the scene but did not stick to me that it was BTS. I wasn't so much into kpop at that time. I only realized it was them when I became a fan in 2019 coz youtube recommended. I was so surprised ive already watched them before I became a fan.

Nanlalina by Block B has a viral sound on TikTok and I've watched plenty tiktoks with the sound and didn't realize until last night lol

Well... watching this video before I knew who Super Junior was. (also before I became an ELF)

Boy, I didn't remember that video having that bad of a quality.
