I don’t understand how people think this is an accurate representation of fandom sizes?
As someone mentioned, BTS would have a much bigger gap with the rest of the acts. Seventeen and NCT units would be ranking even higher as well. Seems like this time around a lot of the fanbases, especially the 3rd generation fanbases, aren’t taking this as seriously in comparison to previous years.
Some people here pretending this is an accurate representation of anything... you can create many accounts and vote for several artists at once.
It actually is an indication. It doesn't necessarily mean the one ranking high has the highest fandom obviously. But comparing boygroups with boygroups, it shows which fandoms are dedicated and spend time on voting. Only the really loyal ones will make multiple accounts, so it also shows how much they care, I think no one actually believes this is the exact ranking of how popular a groups is, but it does say something. aside from 3rd gen groups cause it makes sense they don't vote as much because they don't care that much anymore and army because they feel like bts is gonna win anyway so why waste time on voting but for newer groups I think it does say something.

Especially when both Seventeen and 127 are still nominated on music shows so their fans are focusing on these votings + promotions of their latest cb.
And there's AAA also, where the leading groups in votings were NCT and EXO last time I checked, but nobody uses AAA to measure popularity
It’s multi vote. So NCT being split isn’t a problem.
Oh yeah that’s alright then the ranking is fine. There wouldn’t be forced vote split, if people wished to vote for all of NCT they could is what I meant to say.
Well, those votings show both how big and dedicated fandoms are.
If some nugu group with 5000 fans have a very dedicated fandom, no matter how many accounts their fans make, they won't be able to beat the others and compete against bigger fandoms.
If a popular group has a very huge fandom that isn't dedicated and is lazy,they won't bother voting. A disloyal fanbase.
Dedication and fandom size both go together hand in hand in those kind of votings, they show which groups have both big and dedicated fandoms

Hybe has 4 acts, YG 4 acts, SM 5 acts, and JYP has 3 acts. The fact that you can vote for 5 acts doesn't mean you want to do that, especially knowing how KPOP fans usually work. You can just vote for your fave and none else especially taking into consideration that the difference between positions it's not that big. Fans of every group can create many different accounts if they want, it's open to everyone. I know that Enhypen and Treasure have strong vote power because they are always fighting against each other when it comes to voting.
