They're the biggest group in the world, one of the top artists in the world period. They were literally the best selling artists in the world last year. They are A+ list. I've been a fan for almost 5 years and every year the growth has just been amazing.

This has been true since last year, but there is not currently a recording artist/act who is more popular than BTS globally. They are absolutely at the top right now, and are most likely going to cement themselves as one of the top acts of all time as time goes on as well.

INSANE! We really went wild with BUTTER! And to be able to stand with The Adele is absolutely impressive! And not PTD up there doing amazingly good! Way to go Bangtan!!!

Also about the streams as well, BTS actually is at a slight disadvantage since Global 200 basically only uses western centric streaming services (Spotify/AM) and downweighs YT a ton (ie the one big streaming service that is big throughout a ton of Asia).

Like the Billboard Global 200 Streaming numbers don't even include the biggest streaming services in some of BTSs main markets (eg Melon, Genie, Line Music, etc)

I still really think a lot of you non ARMY guys are underestimating how much of ARMY now is older.

I think a lot of what makes both Adele and Bangtan so phenomenally popular and successful is that their music doesn’t just seem to target or reach one age group or demographic - the reach stretched really wide and far.

And if Adele beats BTS album sales, it will be an honour.

Imagine BTS, only beaten by The Adele.

And to me it also proves just how big BTSs buying power really is and before people bring up website sales, i'd like to remind you that Blue & Grey which was a bside with no website sales sold 69k digtial sales in the US in it's debut week. And on the Global 200 side which doesn't include website sales. BTS holds the top 2 biggest sales weeks globally and again that's without local korean platforms (or some of their other big market platforms like JPN).

Also globally I think people underestimate how beneficial it is to have Japan under your belt. BTS's dominance in japan has proved to benefit them greatly.

The fastest growing age group of new ARMY in the last year or so seems to be older fans as far as I can see. Even my forty two year old brother who has been making fun of me for years for liking K pop texted me the other day to say how much he loves My Universe…
