Rank your priorities when buying physical albums.
-
-
For me:
1. CD/musical content
2. Lyric book (I like to read along while I listen to the songs)
3. Posters
4. Photobook
5. Everything else
1. CD
2. Posters(got to represent my favs)
3. Lyric Book(I find them interesting)
4. Everything else
Then again I have never bought an album in my entire life lol
-
-
I do not have a CD player, so I have to buy the musical content on Itunes, so ranking everything else
The order I decide which version of SHINee albums should I order
1. Photobook
2. Posters
3. photocards
4. Lyric book
5. Everything else
the toy gun versions packaging>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everything else
It was no longer about whats inside but what it was put inside of
-
1. Photobook, photocards and packaging in general
2. Lyric book, members' thank you messages and credits - it's interesting to read through them
3. CD/musical content - when I started buying albums I gave priority to the albums I liked the most musically. However, since I don't own a CD player, I don't buy albums to actually play them from the CD.
4. Posters - I don't care about them. If possible I buy my albums without posters
-
-
1. I have to like the majority of the songs
2. I usually have to like the MVs (even though they are usually not part of the package)
3. photobook (scans help me decide which version of the physical I want)
I don't care about photocards, posters, and stickers but it is nice when I get my ult and/or bias wreckers in the pull.
My favorite kpop fan merch ever is a plushie.

1. Agree
2. I don't give a fuck about the MV as long as the songs are bangers
3. Actually agree, since the concept photos give hints to the photobook contents
It's cool when I pull my bias too, I don't have gripes if I don't get them.

Packaging is also something I look at, but some albums are just a big ass box and I'm like

For me it's gotta be about 75%.
I can't buy single albums, why would I spend that much money on less than 4 songs? Agree.
-
I don't get physicals since they just sit on a shelf, and I don't have a CD player.
Well.

Anything containing photos(photocards, photobooks, posters) but most importantly photocards :mad1:

Well.

1. It's from a group I really, really like.
I guess I do prioritize getting the most songs because I do actually have a CD player in my car that's has Resonance Part 2 in it since March.
I'm not a collector so things like photocards, postcards, stickers, bookmarks, etc just get left in the album the way it was packaged. When it comes to picking a version, I usually go with the one with the best photos overall.

Saying that I agree with your reasoning

1. LMAO yeah, I don't buy albums from groups I don't stan (yet)
I'm not a collector either, I need one version that has the best color theme and photos.

I don't know what it looks like besides the outside since my local bookstore has a copy on display for purchase.

Yeah, most companies include tiny booklets with their albums or simply no extra photos at all, only photocards and occasionally posters They would get much more sales if they just included a simple photobook (JK, KPOP stans are simps and would buy their favs merch anyways)
I was pretty disappointed with Still Dreaming
The photobooks weren't even photobooks, they were basically just short tiny booklets So I spent 30 bucks on 2 CDS. no photobook no photocards, ughhh
Photobooks should have 30

I still buy CDs to play them in my car, all of that other stuff I couldn't care less about it(except I finally did get a Jimin card in my Butter CD, I'd never gotten one before so that was a little cool). I give some of it away like the stickers, I put my CDs in clam cases and the album box goes on my shelf and I don't really open it again.
