Agust D has only 2 mixtapes but he has collabed with 6 artists already. All of these collabs are very fitting for the song imo and bring out the essence of the song even more. So I like almost all of them. Which one is yours?
Strange (feat. RM) (Korean : Isn't it strange?)
'Strange' is a philosophical discussion about what has become "normal" in the modern society. Both Agust D and RM make observations on the suffering and polarity seen throughout the world and how abnormal things have been deemed normal. From economic inequality disapproval to war/peace commentary, the song covers the issues both the artists find noticeably prominent. The song heavily explores the consequences of late-stage capitalism. As a supply-and-demand system in overdrive, capitalism provides material wealth as an illusion. The song highlights how capitialism constantly anticipates the wants of the consumer before they’re even conscious of it. We are compelled to want things which we don’t need and we continuing consuming new things in a feedback loop until we are unaware of what we truly want out of life itself. What is “normal” becomes an utter lack of self awareness, and a society where people lust after trends and abandon their dreams.
