Putting on my lawyer hat, seems like he’s a habitual offender for financial crimes (tax evasion is a crime in my jurisdiction, as opposed to tax avoidance which is legal. Not sure about SK). An appearance for each decade (2002, 2014, 2021) and unfortunately, the tone he sets from the top does not inspire integrity.

That's really not even the worst part. Paying back-taxes is pretty normal, although this amount is abnormally high and could be considered worse.

And he seems to be a habitual offender.

But the worst part is that stock exchanges between Lee Sooman and his brother-in-law was also subject of the investigation.

He was wanted at one time and his face was on Interpol because he was found to have been bribing government officials.

Artists are paid a percentage of the profit they make, so if SM is putting fake ‘expenses’ on their books then they could be stealing money from their artists as well as the tax department. And the artists don’t have the power to audit the company like the government does to recover any losses.
