- TVXQ/DBSK debuted around 2003 - 2004. This is during the time where KPOP groups/idol era is laying low since HOT, Sechskies and other idol groups has disbanded, and this is the time that KPOP bands / Solo artist has risen. Also KPOP industry during that time is dying due to financial problem, however, when TVXQ came they completely changed the game. Selling 100k album back then is already huge since Korea is facing a financial difficulties but TVXQ's debut album sold more than 800k. This is the time where digital music doesnt matter.
- They recorded in Guinness Book of World Records as ‘having the largest official -paid- fan club’ back in 2008. Apart from international fan clubs and the official Japanese fan club BigEast; the official Korean fan club, Cassiopeia, had well over 800,000 members. - TVXQ also put their names on the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most photographed group back in 2009. Through their official activities, the group was photographed over 500 million times.
- On December 31, 2009, tvN ENEWS 'Blackbox' revealed the top earners of 2009 in Korea. TVXQ ranked 1st with a revenue figure of $109M USD, followed by Rain ($53M USD) and Big Bang ($17M USD). On November 25, 2013, Korean media outlet Sports Seoul reported that TVXQ made a career revenue of $1.1 Billion USD up to that point. On February 22, 2018, Korean media outlet Cidermics reported that TVXQ made a career revenue of $2 Billion USD up to that point, which makes them the highest earning K-Pop group in history
- They (and BoA) opened the pathways for idols to perform in other countries esp Japan.
- Last but not the least, they are all visuals, they're good dancers, their live performances are same if not better than their recorded albums. Even BTS' Founder Bang Shi Hyuk said this;

Furthermore, Bang Shi Hyuk guested on tvN's 'Baek Ji-Young's People Inside'on the March 3 in 2011. During the broadcast, he stated TVXQ was the best group.
