which gg do you think will complete the top 5 of this generation?

ofc top 4 would be, in no particular order: aespa, itzy, g-idle and stayc

this order isn't exactly based on "4th generation", I'm only taking into account the debuts from year 2018-2020, because I think these groups are the strong candidates to lead kpop after 3rd gen disbands.

same thing that happened back then, with the debuts from 2014-2016 leading kpop gg scene: twice, bp, rv, mamamoo and gfriend

so that's why i consider the 2018-2020 period the most relevant, all thee ggs debuting next year like jypngg, ygngg or the source music one will be part of another ranking imo

so from the "2018 to 2020" list we have: purple kiss, weeekly, lightsum, wooah, fromis9, gwsn, loona, everglow, cherry bullet and rocket punch

so far I don't see any sure candidate to join the rest of top 4, loona might be the strongest one due to their international numbers but their charting in Korea is still too low... weeekly could be the surprise given after school's success and there's fromis9 too, with opposite loona's situation, bad international numbers but growing korean charting

i think so too, since 3 of the top 4 ggs I listed have a darker and mature image, there's space left for another cute/girl next door group.

while fromis9 and loona may have some advantage now, it's been 3 years since they debuted and there's not a big growth other than album sales, while weeekly have a bigger chance to impress the public, and also their company seems to have a good track record handling apink

there's a reson I didn't mention IOI in the category of 3rd gen ggs, in the year of career they had they were leading physical sales along twice and digitals. but since both groups disbanded and aren't active while new rookies keep debuting, I didn't add them

if not, obviously izone would hold a top 3 rank
