Is this the luxuryfucation of kpop where the name holds more value than the product?
Or just common “if the majority are into it then it must be good”

I am a simple person
Well because the big 3 is popular, pretty much all groups from the big 3 are "popular", fans get excited over low quality music because 1. their loyal fans (no matter how bad their artist music gets, they will still stream, listen, whatever, because they love that idol group 2. low quality music is now accepted by a lot of kpop fans, so companies don't feel the need to actually put effort into comebacks. Look at mafia in the morning by ITZY, their weakest song YET, and somehow kpop fans ate it up like it was a masterpiece. Any big 3 group could release the most basic, bad, low quality song and somehow fans will stick behind it and stream it. I'd say it is option number 1, the luxury fucation. Great Example of this is with bts and armys (BTS isn't apart of the big 3 but arguably their bigger than any group form JYP, YG, and SM), armys are a very very very loyal fandom, and I get why so many fans get envious of them, because they will stream the hell out of any song BTS release, no matter how bad it is, and that's good for them, look at how big BTS have gotten, because of how loyal their fan base is, I'd also say blackpink are a good example of the loyal fan base thing, blackpink have been releasing the same music remixed 20 times and still blinks will love them and their music (somewhat) because their a loyal fan base (not to army level though) and I like I said, the quality of music has gone down, so fans now accept ANYTHING released by their faves, it's pretty normal now.

shouldn't you be asleep????? lol
to each their own
This ain't exclusive to big3. You can see millions of fans from different non big3 groups hyping and overreacting as if the world is about to end even the songs they're hyping is SHIT or mediocre.
For a lot fans, stanning groups will also mean loving whatever that groups releases. Idk how that works.
Teddy makes a lot of banger music
Another factor: these big fandoms don’t all listen to every new Kpop song coming out every week. It just can’t be that they all supposedly don’t like these weekly releases from the „others“, but always the one from the big companies… It’s more that they just don’t know or ever listen to certain groups and music.. (exceptions prove the rule).
