At this point I think Kpop fans are just making up achievements now.

  • so and so was the first person to do a back flip on the mama stage while rapping, so and so ranked number 1 for the 50th time making them global icons, so and so blinked 50 times in one second making them the record holder for competitive fast blinking...

are you not tired, are you not embarassed, are you not...living? hasn't like 100 groups done the same thing... and it's like, if your gonna brag, at least make sure the song is good. Because I would never type out an achievement of my fave if the song was terrible, just evil terrible music. I would shut my computer screen actually. Just walk away in peace.

And half the time it's fandoms talking about how popular their group is... But it's #85 on the charts..decreasing... cue the chart twitter account ratio... I just don't get it...the whole debate on "aren't Kpop fans in this for music" is stupid. don't lie. you know, I know, it's mathematics.

lets just not do any reporting anymore...because it's looking quite bad...yeah...the music is not a hit, and I don't like liars, people that go on YouTube and claim to like a song...I mean...the emo swoop bang was where I needed to check out. it was enough for me...yeah...couldn't even make it through one verse without calling it a day.

In conclusion, I have evidence that could lead to the arrest of multiple Kpop fans... Just kidding :/ it seems like everyday someone was number one, number two, number 5, it's tiring, and of course I'm not an idiot, I know Kpop idols like achievements too, don't we all, but I'm kind of tired now..it's like why do we need to break a new record every comeback... What's that gonna do...it's not going to win them a Grammy. That's for sure.

  • Yeah, I hate that too. When I used to follow my groups in the past it was 95% for the content they put out and only 5% for learning about the new achievements. But somewhere around 3rd gen, achievements accounts started getting more popular and active. So I just accepted to adapt because I know this is not going to change.

  • Well, the discussion a while ago was whether it wouldn't be more practical to have achievement threads in a separate subsection, or make overall achievement compilation threads per group and/or per major comeback, and pin those like on former AKP forum happened and other K-pop sites - but yeah, after daniel-cruz 's thread about it ran out of steam, most posters and mods happily went each their own way again, with nothing useful concluded or any follow-up action, so... :siptear:

Expect those complaints about achievement pop up time after time after time, considering the current way the forum and its sections work :eyebrowsr:

  • As for the achievements themselves, I don't see why they need to be world records, every fan should be able to celebrate the growth and achievements of their bias group and idols, no matter how relatively small or not.

A music show win might be meaningless and trivial for fans of top groups, but be especially joyful for fans if it was their bias group's first and they see their biases burst out in tears of joy, relief, vindication and triumph :wellr:

It would be easier if all groups have dedicated threads related to achievements. One thread to rule them all.
