Define THE GAME?
It's pretty self-explanatory tho?
Still Active, on peak, still going on and doing activities as a group and is still part of the competition with other KPOP groups.

SEVENTEEN, NU'EST, Red Velvet, WINNER, iKON, AKMU, CLC, DAY6, MONSTA X, VAV, Oh My Girl, ASTRO, SF9, ONF, NCT, PENTAGON, Dreamcatcher

? The better answer is imo, the 3rd gen still ARE the game: all 3rd gen top 10 groups - that haven't disbanded - are still pretty much active and dominating the scene.
They're even joined by other 3rd gen groups like Brave Girls and Oh My Girl.
BTS, BP, still both #1 across all areas.
TWICE, might have decreased somewhat in Korean digitals, but shown increase in album sales and international digitals.
NCT and Seventeen, strong in album sales and seen growth in popularity.
Red Velvet, even with their long hiatus, their international digitals are top notch, just as their Korean popularity, and individual members have album sales surpassing those of practically all full girl groups
EXO, even with half their members enlisted, individual members are doing impressively and their album sales are still great.
Heck, even other 3rd gen groups like Dreamcatcher, I-dle, Akmu, Mamamoo etc etc are still doing well

Isn’t brave girls 2nd gen?

Isn’t brave girls 2nd gen?
It's kinda confusing in BG's case.
Technically, the group called Brave Girls existed since 2011. But all of the current members that form BG started in 2016, none of the originals remained, the last two stopped being active before 2017.

Blackpink of course
Twice is still the top selling girl group and keeps beating their last album with each release. I'd also argue they're the 3rd most popular kpop act in America right now (non kpops irl saw a bit of them and mentioned them to me). Despite the drama and some people acting like they've fallen off, their digitals are still good
Seventeen and NCT keep beating their last album sales too and didn't NCT's last release do really well on Melon? Seventeen also increased interest outside of their fandom in Korea by a lot with gose during quarantine, even gaining fans for their show outside of carats.
Red Velvet still high in relevance, individual members still popular. The fact that they still get talked about despite the lack of comebacks says it
Brave Girls and Oh My Girl have both gotten big in Korea. While I'd say the majority of the groups above are currently on their peak or reaching it, OMG aren't nearing theirs yet (in my eyes) so I'm interested to see how long they'll go
Nu'est is still doing really well and other groups like Dreamcatcher and Astro are also doing increasingly well (as far as I'm aware) so they're on the rise I believe. Exo mainly doing solos it seems but they do well so I would include them too. Mamamoo was doing really well but now with the Wheein situation I guess we'll see how it goes
It seems like the success and life span of kpop groups have increased
