I remember when SNSD won the YT award! Some of the fans from the other artists nominated in that category went crazy

For the YouTube award I remember a YouTube channel reacting live and they said racist things about them right there and then. The channel had to put out an apology aftwrard.

Is it really much of a different story? I mean you still sometimes see racist stuff against a group like BTS and hate against Asians in general isnt taken that seriously at all. Fans calling it out is one thing but it's another for awareness to be widespread.

Recently 2 players from Barcelona football Club were Were revealed to have said racist things about Asians hotel workers fixing their TV. It was buried for years and only came to light because one of their private videos was leaked a few days ago. Ironically both players kneel for BLM before kickoff to supposedly fight racism but don't mind saying racist stuff in their own time (one of them Ousman Dembele literally said in his "apology" letter that's he talks with friends around and that it was supposed to be a private conversation which shows how much of a dick be really is).

These are 2 big name players, 2 of the biggest transfers in history, part of the world champions France and their domestic club Barcelona is one of the biggest and prestigious in the world. This should have been explosive news. But no, barely mentioned at all. It's only gaining traction over the last couple days because their biggest kit sponsor Rakuten a Japanese company wants a full explanation and is reconsidering their deal. Basically money > hate against Asians

Something I want to point out. There is no unity in K-Pop fandoms when it comes to calling out these racists attacks. Just look at some of the attacks that BTS has taken lately by Western Pop fans. These attacks by Western Pop fans are shared by certain fandoms to take digs at BTS to bring down any sort of accomplishments.
