〖🅝⋮🅒〗Predictions/Thoughts on SM's plans for 5DREAM members

I was reading a thread on reddit and it got me thinking about what SM's plans are for the NCT Dream members (minus haechan/mark) following hello future.

While some seem to have the opinion that the 5 members will only continue to promote under the NCT Dream brand. I do not think this is consistent with SM's stated plans when they announced the reorganization of the unit last year.

In SM CEO's (Chris lee) statement last year - they said that while NCT Dream would work as a fixed rotational unit - they also planned to debut the other members into FIXED "global" units eventually...

In my opinion the most likely scenario is:

-Renjun and Chenle joining WayV

-Jeno, Jisung and Jaemin debuting in a fixed unit with Shotaro, sungchan and a couple of vocalists - whether or not this would be a Japanese specific unit is up in the air but imo doubtful since past experience shows that Kpop groups do not need to be exclusively targeted to the Japanese market to be successful there.

-7DREAM comeback every 1-2 years

I expect an announcement will be made sometime next month. I could be entirely wrong but it would be nice to hear everyone's thoughts....

I hope Dream will stay the way they're right now and as stated before promote as 6 or 5 when Mark and Haechan aren't available. They have the best group dynamic in NCT and they shouldn't be messed with imo.

I agree with you on the point of them having the best group dynamic. I would also like them to stay together but I just don't think that is what the signs are pointing to ......also Renjun and Chenle may themselves want to promote more in China and hence may have signed on to NCT thinking they would eventually be in a Chinese based unit...

I also do not necessarily think that the unit with sungchan/shotaro would be a Japan unit necessarily..

It's all just speculation at this point... I'm sure an announcement will be made regarding the fixed unit next month
