i dont keep up that much with korean demographics anymore but last time i did ( around 201-19 ) he was huge

he's huge in korea with the female demographic i think (both young and old)

his female fans in korea are really something. i read mass downloading is the reason. dunno where that thread is though.

He has a very dedicated fandom that buys multiple copies of the song digitally, while other fandoms focus on buying multiple physical albums.

Yup. He dated too soon after becoming a celebrity. It actually one of the reason his popularity declined.

During produce and Wanna one he was huge, like it boy level i think and he has huge fanbase too (otherwise he wouldn't win produce). I don't know about now though, maybe he's able to maintain his fanbase from wanna one era and then attracting new ones as well.

So yeah I have no idea how he managed to get that high digital points number on Gaon for his 1st week.

i think it has something to do with the bgm chart. he was #1 on that for the month of april. i think fangirls have discovered new ways to boost digital numbers.

I think someone already made a thread before claiming he is involved in sajaegi because the numbers and his songs on the chart are not consistent. But, I think it just a false accusation since I never see it become an issue anymore
