Most people in Year 11 are at least 17. If they’re not, they’re either exceptionally clever or there’s something wrong with the education system.

Possibly if she moved up.
Depends on country 11th grade or year 11 differs a little in age.
UK your usually in year 11 when your 15 turning 16... So its possible, we actually had a girl that have been moved up.

Here, 14 years old are usually 9th-10th grade, depending on your birthmonth, skipping a year is not really common or at least I haven't met anyone that did it.
Maybe the maths are just different? At that age here you have to choose between "harder" maths and "simpler" maths, depending what do you want to do in the future.
But every country is different so it doesn't really matter what I say lol
