I believe so too. I find a video on Youtube where Yuta was featured in a Japanese variety show and he talked about himself and how he debuts with NCT (I can't find the video now sorry). I find it weird that only now Yuta gets promoted in Japanese TV and talking about his debut when NCT 127 already debut in Japan a few years ago. I guess SM started to introduce NCT to Japan through that since NCT 127 didn't get promoted in Japanese TV a lot.
