People choose their narratives just to compensate the things that lack in their life. No one shames any other Western pop artists for the lack of deep lyrics or for having no 5 books long back story.

I've seen plenty of people shame Ariana Grande for her basic lyrics in her recent album tbf.

I mean, some of us just generally don't like the sound of it. And yes, I know, if we don't like the song, we should just move on. I totally agree with that, however at this point it's not about liking or not liking the song, it's about being allowed to have an opinion that doesn't align with the opinion of the majority, but is still respectfully worded.

Nevermind shaming western acts but no one shames other kpop acts for not releasing "deep stuff".

So many releases lately that was super deep...

Anyway the standard for BTS will continue to be different. It is what it is.

its also funny bc bts now has a total of two songs that are "targeted at the west". and they already showed with life goes on that they will go right back to their korean roots the next cb and continue on with new themes and concepts as they always have. people need to get over it.
