JYP copying NCT?

listen, if nct becomes more successful i'm pretty sure jyp might try to have their own nct. whenever something succesful happens in the asian music industry within few years jyp tries to copy if not replicate it

let me start with a short history lesson

SNSD being the NGG, a GP friendly group -) TWICE

TFboys, the debuting young guys and letting the public watch them grow while making billions concept -) Boystory

Wonder Girls being succesful in China -) Miss A, basically Wonder Girls but Chinese

BTS caused a rise in the "self produced group" trend -) Stray Kids

Lay, Victoria, The8 becomes succesful in China -) Landlocks Jackson Wang in China to make him just promote there

There was a hole in the teen crush concept due to lack of f(x) -) Itzy

Now... I can definitely understand if JYP thinks group concepts are NCT are beneficial and trendy he might try to make his own NCT. Also by making his own NCT he can promote his own produced experimental songs like Signal and Mafia which are highly hated by the GP but if you have a fandom like NCTzen you can make them believe its the artistic excellence.

In the music industry, u cant really patent a concept, so once you introduced it, bound to have someone else copy / modify / improvise

Each company had their fair share of taking ideas from each other. No one is entirely original.

1) SM - f(x) due to success of 2NE1, aespa due to success of BP + K/DA concept. Even NCT concept takes reference from AKB in japan

2) JYP - get chinese members after seeing SM succeed with it, then created Twice which was filling the hole SNSD left

3) YG - wanted to create own version of SNSD but failed, left with 4 girls i.e. BP. Created treasure with initial concept like EXO (2 groups combined into bigger group), but also scrapped.

f(x) has nothing to do with 2ne1 their concept is not alike and they literally debuted months apart

aespa's concept has been being planned since 2012 due to it being a concept that connects the whole sm universe, aespa and blackpink has nothing in common only thing that can be said is they're 4 members, i thought we left gate keeping having 4 members in 2010

nct's concept can be traced back to sm's initial plans with suju and exo. both groups were supposed to have graduating system which was in 2007. this can be traced back to morning musume actually not akb family

exo and treasure's concept is not alike lmao, exo's concept was not to create "two groups combined in one", exo was a chinese korean group and while one group was full time promoting in china the other group was full time promoting in korea, this literally has nothing with treasure
