its because of sm keeps failing, they've been trying this member rotating system since 2007 with suju, in 2012 with exo and there are even rumors with how they tried it with red velvet in 2015 and it never became succesful.

nct's concept can be traced back to sm's initial plans with suju and exo. both groups were supposed to have graduating system which was in 2007. this can be traced back to morning musume actually not akb family
exo and treasure's concept is not alike lmao, exo's concept was not to create "two groups combined in one", exo was a chinese korean group and while one group was full time promoting in china the other group was full time promoting in korea, this literally has nothing with treasure

you have reading and comprehension problems, i said lsm copied morning musume concept, morning musume and akb works similarly but akb came later so they likely copied morning musume for the graduation concept
