i would link the suga/suran article with the proof but i’d have to look for it and i’m a little lazy rn. but they didn’t just wear the same hoodie, they were definitely dating. bighit denied it as usual because that’s the time when bts were taking off in the us (2017 i think) and they didn’t want a dating scandal to cause problems. it’s common knowledge among k-fans that he was dating her but i guess i-fans believed bighit instead.

Don’t remember any of BTS saying they’ve never dated though. I don’t think most fans or BH wonuld care though. I mean even before BH denied the Suran and JK tattoo girl (which I don’t even remember if BH denied JK and the tattoo girl were dating or not) most fans both I-fans and K-Armys was chill about Suran and annoyed with the invasion of privacy in the JK situation.
In fact most fans wasn’t even upset with the Jimin in the club with that one girl during their break either, but annoyed that it was filmed!

Supposedly a couple of idols have also wound up fans because of blatant lovestagram accounts. (There was speculation a whole boyband got an IG ban because one of them started taking boyfriend concept literally and taking pictures on actual dates with his actual girlfriend.) They're human though. Some people when they're in love want to shout it from the rooftops. Or wear a lot of matching jewelry and outfits.
With Suran I think it was her IG account. The S loves S post (she was in a S country or city at the time) and some other stuff that I can't remember now. I believe she posted something cryptic around the time of August D's last comeback which pissed off some Army's. And just that she was around him even after their project was complete made some fans twitchy.

The second Suran issue was when 8 by IU dropped and she posted the song on her IG at the same exact time stamp as Yoongi but the lyrics didn’t match the time stamp so people and the media was speculating she did it on purpose. To hint something with Yoongi.
