Dynamite is the biggest song from a kpop group to date internationally, japan and korea. From the samsungs ads, the viral edits, the viral teaser, everything fell into place to make dynamite a success. It also has some ridiculous records like 100M views in 24hrs???? how we did it?? plus hot 100 incredible chart run. How we can possibly surpass these things? columbia and bighit are obviously expecting butter to be as successful as dynamite with it being in english and all but what if dynamite is a one time thing?
Realistically, do you think butter can be as big as dynamite?

It has the potential to be bigger because Dynamite gathered so many new fans. The hype for initial release will be huge, certainly, but I guess only time will tell if it’s as popular with the GP as with Army.
armys will do the best we can but we can't make a song a smash hit by ourselves alone (no matter what other people like to suggest) we can only push untill a certain point
-
Depends on the song
If it's a bop, absolutely
-
We never know. Hopefully.

I don't know, I mean. I feel like the title may drive away curious people. But maybe but I am gonna say no

Yes

Well I hope they have credit too and this isn't just about US market or radio success though. BTS are targetting many markets worldwide with an English single. Look at what Dynamite did in Japan and in Europe, so lets not just make it about US. Their aim is global domination, they are that ambitious. The fact that their deal with McD is not a US specific but a global one should clue you in as to what their target is. BTS is aiming for the global gp and global mainstream success.

Personally I don't think so, but lets see. It matter a lot if it is English song or at least have English chorus.

Honestly no. I think Dynamite is a once in a lifetime song for artist.
Same with Shape of You for Ed Sheeran
Despacito, Gangnam Style, etc
I think they could do better in the west though.

Dynamite was huge but it wasn’t a aStronomically MASSIVE single.. it can easily be outpeaked!

Thanks kpop stans for always saying "BTS won't, BTS can't"
Hard work always pays off. Kpop stans previously said BTS won't get #1 on bb hot 100 but what happened?
If GP loves it along with MILLIONS of Army, It can.
Stan19 if I were you, I won't have ever come on AKP again. How did Karma taste?
But I think not everyone has shame.

Honestly, it's hard to predict.
I have a feeling it will do great because summer will be almost there and people might want something fun.
