All the folks who exclusively listen to bgs or exclusively listen to ggs are missing out but it's their life. I find it weird too though how they always use it as a flex

I mean, only stanning bg (or even gg) is okay. People like what they like, and if they can't get into gg, that's okay. It's not like they can control what appeals to them.

But obviously, that doesn't mean they should act like they have superior taste for it or put down girl groups just because they don't like them. That's dumb.

the same could be said about some girl group stans. they act superior because they stan girl groups. they view themselves as more feminist than boy group stans.

Apart from 2NE1 and F (x), I have never really been interested in girl groups in the ten years I’ve followed K pop. There might be a song here or there I like, but gg have never done much for me I’m afraid. Nobody can force somebody to like them.

Well I mean during 4th gen, not 4th gen specifically itself. It is the same once 2012 - 2015 Sistar was still active group during 3rd gen while being 2nd gen.

It goes same for the gg stans. They also go through superiority complex and shade male idols here and there. And I hate this divide because the art kpop provides shouldn't be limited to gender.

I actually think it's the other way around. Out of the threads I've read here (i check a lot but ofc don't read them all) i never read "i only stan bg groups" but i did "i only stan gg groups", they say it with pride and act superior towards those who don't.

ngl, I have seen Instagram and Twitter accounts just to shade Male idols. Even the most misandrist tweet becomes hit on Twitter.

Personally I just don’t like female voices much. The typical girl group songs are boring to me. I did like 2Ne1 when I was young, last year was the first time I started liking a girl group. G-Idle. Since then I started listening more gg, giving them a chance. I like purple kiss, and blackpink (still don’t like the title songs but the other songs on they albums are really good).

For me other girl groups are boring. Maybe Dreamcatcher as well a bit but somehow I couldn’t get into it. They have good songs...but I don’t know. 🤷‍♀️👀
