I thought the pinned posts are supposed to be the highly engaged posts

Tbh pinning posts is absolute worst way to get attention because I automatically skip those posts and only see the other ones that have recently been commented on.

Pinned posts only make sense for mega threads or announcements otherwise they are counterproductive

It's confusing to me.

I just want to see the last post that was commented on at the top.

And like ISaidISaid , my eyes also scan below the pinned and skip the pinned.

I didn't want to bring it up cause it doesn't bother me that much but I can't think of a reason why 3 of 4 pinned threads are pinned. Only the megathread makes sense.

Four pinned post is way too much clutter for someone who doesn't want even one pinned thread, so I'll guess I visit less, because this is just annoying. It's not like this forum is so active that threads will be missed anyway if people want to read and respond to them.

We might ignore them but not everyone does. Do they have a site where their fans talk? I was always curious about that.

Yeah, the forum is kind of one sided these days. If you want people to respond then there are only a few topics you could discuss and most of those topics will get you into unnecessarily big arguments.

I'm hoping for some diversity in the future. Then there are chances for appretiation threads too. They are dying out to be honest. There's no user engagement.

(It's not a critique against the mods before they began to feel bad.)

I'm going to assume it was some sort of mistake, because it makes no sense to pin any of those threads. One of them hasn't received a response since March.

I guess the intent is good but if many users like to interact with toxicity then they will interact with toxicity. Pinned or not pinned.

I think we have many positive threads but they sink because not enough users care (or share the same interests). Where is no engagement there is no engagement.

So the change of attitude should be achieved by the users themselves. If they can't do it then there is nothing to do there.

This topic exists purely because of my impact. Overtly "positive" threads were pinned to combat my deplorable, detestable chart threads.

Positive threads my ass. Alex pinned jungkook thread made by akgae where only said akgae posts. And it's basically a spam thread with only twitter links. I complained to actual mod to unpin it.

But it turns out there are people who see it differently. Of course, what’s “correct” or “ideal” is debatable, but in my opinion, it’s better to pin threads that are interesting, thought-provoking, or high-quality, even if they might otherwise get overlooked. Maybe the admins could even add a short note under each pinned thread explaining why it was pinned that could help people understand the reasoning behind it.

If a thread has high engagement, it shouldn't require pinning. You want your threads pinned so they don't flop.

Like i said, it's alex, he's admin, he can do whatever it pleases him. He pinned thread that died months ago, he pinned golden bop/flop thread that actually wasn't that + even if it was it was released weeks ago and we discussed about it all over forum. He pinned jungkook akgae thread which Is essentially a spam thread because nobody but said akgae posts there and they are all Twitter links. He pinned ahyeon appreciation thread (???).

No favorites, he does it because he can.

Disagree, you don't need to pin thread witj highest engagement, they are already at the top. Important events/controversies should be posted such as hybe/mhj, music awards and similar.

I wish there were rules what can be pinned or not because we wouldn't have threads like this. And please we don't need clutter om mobile view.
