The title track had mixed reactions because it didn't sound LSF enough apparently :eyeroll-pepe:

But they DID release the SOTY with Ash so everything's fine and the sun is shining :starryeyes-pepe:

And their chart performance actually wasn't that bad compared to the expectations of certain fandoms doomposting literally 1 day after release and a certain someone being sooooo concerned about it that THEY did the updating FOR fearnots.

But anyways, stan LSF for a better life and skin or JYPapi will visit you in your dreams, tonight.

What did you think about their comeback?

  • I don't know how well they did on charts lol but @@@9665a01c-4b4a-4c1c-bada-1aa450ede14a@@@ is one of my favorite songs this year, if not the favourite. Sad they didn't promote it.

Hot is my least favorite song from the album but that doesn't mean i didn't like it. Come over is a great song. I'm really satisfied with this comeback. They almost never disappoint me.

I mean they are still on the charts despite some people hoping and praying that they flopped but that's besides the point. (The peaked at 9-11 on Top 100 I think)

ASH is AMAZINGGG. It might be my favorite song of the year so far until they release another b-side with the potential to overtake it during their comeback later this year.

But I actually agree that Hot is my least favorite (its still a bop but the others are simply better imo). Do you mind telling me your favorite songs from them and your fav songs in order from this album?

    Mine are:

From this album- Ash > Come Over > So Cynical > Born Fire > Hot.

From them, overall- Impurities > Ash > Feanot (between you, me, and the lamppost) > Swan Song > Sour Grapes.

  • "Ash" was their best song, but there have been a number of songs released that have been as good or outright better, so it's not a clear Song of the Year contender for me and probably wouldn't make my top 10 songs as of today, let alone for the year (looking forward).

"Come Over" and "So Cynical" are also good, but not as good as "Ash."

"HOT" was nothing to talk about. It's probably the worst song of HOT.

  • I always skip intros which is sad because music is always good but talking is killing me. So excluding born fire we have the same order :)

    Picking overall songs; that's tough!

    Impurities

    Antifragile

Eve and Bluebeard (or whatever the name it is lol)

    Easy

    And my fave is Ash

I think i don't like 3 or 4 songs, their discography is almost flawless to me.

Eta: i pretend Japanese songs don't exist, like i always do lol. I don't like japanese songs

  • Hot is by far their weakest Title track

but because it's lsrf i streamed, if another gg that i didn't stan would have release this song i would have probably listen to the song the first day and never comeback

Ash and Come over are good but they aren't strong enough to me to make me want to comeback to listen to them again

sadly both Hot and easy didn't have a bside catchy enough like bluebeard wife or impurities to make me want to comeback again and again to listen to it

  • I like hot but I think Come Over would've been a better title track. Ash is amazing and it's a shame they couldn't promote it.

This was a no skip comeback for me and it's another solid release for lsf. They're one of the most consistent groups for me and they always deliver.

The only concern I have is they might not be able to fully recover from the 2024 hate train. I felt they should've moved more unit and charted a bit better. At the end of the day that stuff doesn't matter because their loyal fans were there for the comeback, and I assume will continue to be there for the group.

tbh more than their charting i'm more concerned by their declining sales

cuz charting really depend on the song, some song might flop like Crazy, some might do decently like Hot and other can be at the top like PN, the GP is volatile but it's more concerning to see a decrease in the fanbase

i thought the hate train would actually make the fanbase much more solid and loyal

and their performance in chart overseas seems to improve but their sales since Crazy have been declining and i just can't find any answer as to why some fearnot are leaving considering that lsrf didn't have a controversy

There's a bit of correction in album sales, and they had a 15% decline from Crazy. I think fans are still there because the tour seems be a success but Source/Hybe underestimated the demand.

I don't think fearnots are leaving, but they most likely lost the casual listeners that were there prior to the hate train. I think some casual listeners moved on from the group due to the rough 2024 they had. The group had a lot of momentum with Unforgiven, EPTBW, Perfect Night, and Easy. I think they lost some of the momentum due to one of the nastiest hate trains for a 4th gen group.

They can still bounce back but they would need the right track. I don't think crazy or hot were the tracks for that. For the most part they should be fine but unsure if they've already hit their ceiling .
