Shouldn’t there be some room for messiness On k-lounge

  • I don't mind a lot of the "silly" threads in Lounge at all. I think they're chill and sometimes funny. They're the least of my worries. They have their place here.

But the bait threads in K-Lounge are often a huge issue. Many people are very emotionally invested, and that's no fault of their own. That's just the nature of any fandom, K-pop or not. These groups and idols helped them overcome struggles in their lives, discover their purpose, and got them through tough times. Of course stans will feel a certain way when others make disparaging comments about their favorites.

On top of that, mental health is another thing to be considered. People often take things personally, and it just isn't a good idea to allow certain conversations to continue. It takes a toll on people after a while.

  • You can be as messy as you want on AKP tbh.

The new rules are extremely easy to follow : just don’t insult MODs and don’t be abusive to users.

Beyond that literally everything is allowed tbh lol. I actually wish there was less freedom.

Now I get to call groups noisy and mediocre and no can even report my post lolololol. :pepe-toilet:

Sorry, but I must ask some questions. I am complete outsider tonight and in Armies vs Blinks fight.

What about offensive Armies? I keep seeing them and they keep not getting any kind of bans.

Should we be concerned more about bunch of people bc their fandom was attacked or about 1 little girl (I would say by the way she talks that she is a teen) who was attacked by the whole fandom? Which 1 is worse?

No insulting member of staff on any account that’s the most important rule on AKP.

It’s SO easy to follow and that user went and broke that lol. It’s not surprising they got banned.

Every other type of discourse is allowed on AKP.

I understand where you’re coming from.. I guess bc I can’t be emotionally invested in fandoms like that it’s hard for me to picture.. but I get it

  • There were cases in privileged fandom if we will be honest..

Some threads maybe closed quicker on that account. For example spreading misinformation or click bait. But these are not really uniformly enforced so it might seem like it’s partial.

But you’re not gonna get banned unless you’re abusive and in particular abusive to staff.

I rarely ban anyone. Most bans I've given were to spammers, scammers, and racists. They're people who don't really care if they get banned and are only here to make a scene, nothing else.

As for everyone else, I only issue warnings and/or I message them to stop what they're doing. Usually, they're compliant and I don't have to do anything beyond that. I don't keep track, but I'd estimate that I've spoken to as many ARMYs as I did BLINKs about being mindful of personal behavior.

  • I agree with the freedom speech and I'm honestly confused with this whole mess.

She got banned bc she insulted a mod, right? But where did the bullying allegation came from?

And let's not fool ourselves in this bkinksxarmies fights here when I participated in some of them and BOTH sides were extremely rude and it never got to the point of banning anyone neither saying there was a bullying case.

If you guys will start to ban some users bc of others problems, please tell us bc i don't think all these bans are happening without a reason. At least say: hey, we are banning everyone who did shade and innapropriate things in this forum.

Just don't ban someone for saying what's on their minds.

I agree with not insulting staffs members neither users. This point is correct, so superyeah the user who swore me yesterday will come back some day? Bc what she told me was 8462426923x times worse than what kaiskai typed to the staff member.

Or fighting with each other is allowed to some point as long as it's not a mod?

  • I hope that user comes back bc apparently they are misunderstood on the disrespecting issue and they are really active here they obviously like the site so I hope they don’t lose that...

But my thread is in general not about Just this case Or armyXblink but in general I’m ok with all types of fanwars but just like the mod explained this could affect people mentally and nothing is worth that tbh.

    Your average ggs enthusiast...

I have nothing against that user too bc tbh i don't remember her at all. Literally, i don't remember her. But her misunderstood was me being threatening and swore left and right, you know? If we go by the rules then unfortunately people with this kind of attitude all should be banned permanently, not just one or two. Selective ban shouldn't be a thing.

If we have a rule, put everybody under the rule and make sure to be correct.

But what i think is that some bans are happening bc of something bigger that we don't know and if this is the case, then we literally have nothing to talk about as mods may be doing a clean up with some "proofs" privately.

If yes, keep the good work, but my doubt still stands.

  • I will be frank that it is not hard to grasp that there might be more in these issues than meets the eye (I feel like watching Transformers now), but please understand that this is a sensitive issue because some have gone and made it personal.

We would like to move on from this issue, but in the interest of helping you all do so too, here are threads left in the wake:

These will likely not cover everything, but should give you an idea of the nature of this issue.
