I think BABYMONSTER is going to surpass LSF domestically soon

I may not have a plethora of data to back it up, but I know it's true.

Facts:

BABYMONSTER sold out KSPO dome, LSF has not

'Drip' has outlasted 'Crazy' on melon and YT music and is still hanging out in the top 20-30. It may even outlast 'Hot', but it may be too soon to say that.

BABYMONSTER album sales are similar to LSF

Baemon may not have a bunch of fancy PAKs/RAKs or massive hits but I think it's clear they have been gradually building up a strong fanbase domestically and it is reflected in their touring/streaming numbers as of late. Like looking at their most recent releases compared to LSF, it doesn't seem crazy to say.

It may take another comeback or 2 but this thread will age like a fine wine and I will be right. I just wanted to share this with you all, thank you.

I almost made this thread myself, but decided to let you have it when you're ready, and now I'm thoroughly disappointed with this effort.

At the very least, LSF have hit #1 on the charts a couple times and had more a couple hit songs.

BM need to at least do that much to make this a serious conversation.

Idk I think k-pop fans really over value #1 hits but maybe that is just me. If BABYMONSTER consistently continues releasing title tracks that are hitting top 10, and remaining relatively high for a long period, I think that's pretty good. Like, Illit has by far the biggest hit of the 5th gen and it still seems clear that BABYMONSTER is bigger than them domestically and overall.

Also I literally provided facts lol. There is not much data to show, you know 'Crazy' didn't do well ('Hot' ain't looking so hot either), 'Sheesh' and 'Drip' did pretty well. Maybe "surpass" isn't a good word, because BABYMONSTER does not have the # of accolades or discography that LSF does, but if we are comparing BABYMONSTER's last 2 releases with LSF's, it's not crazy to say right now baemon maybe has a better standing in SK.

That is fair, you see I have changed the title, I am not completely insane. I really just wanted to open the discussion about it and went with the clickbait title. I do stand by saying that there is a good chance this conversation isn't so crazy in a comeback or 2. We'll see.

Hmm I get what you mean. Honestly in general I like the golden rule, and I try to be faithful to it. That is, I try not to say anything I would not like said about my own faves. Trying very hard not contradict myself here lol, but because I'm fine with shading as long as it's just strictly charting and numbers, I do not feel I am truly shading LSF here, but I understand if you think I am. I dunno I just really don't think of charting discussions as "shading" I guess. The shading I was referring to was more along the lines of what we saw from tatiana recently, not charting stuff. If people wanna make 1000 threads calling BABYMONSTER chart flops, I have no issue with that. And that is why I see no issue doing it towards other groups. That may not be right, but I can't please everyone.

They just happen to be the big group that BABYMONSTER is (somewhat) closing in on domestically. It could have been any group, but just happens to be LSF. I would've thought by now people know that is my main concern, idc about y'alls faves and have no desire to shade them.
