What do you think about KiiiKiii’s Title Track and pre release?

  • First I thought it was an amazing and smart idea from Starship to introduce the members and boost their popularity :!: but after reading people’s feedback/comments it looks like it’s backfiring :?:

People are attacking the lack of vocals and heavy autotune in both I Do Me and Debut song :/ I didn’t hear the autotune much in I Do Me tbh but I’ve felt underwhelmed by both songs

They have 1 more song release in March I think they’re saving the good one for last! I love their MV though!

  • I liked the first song and the MV was beautiful. The debut song with the HB song made me laugh out loud. They kinda succeed but the song overall wasn’t that good. So I dunno. Too early to say nothing. I will check out their album first and see

Both MVs are really good :!: I Do Me was filmed in New Zealand showing off the beautiful scenery and Debut Song was filmed in London and looked fun!

I enjoyed I Do Me I think it’s grown on me but Debut Song isn’t my taste! It reminds me of Nmixx YDS and the Twice song where they sing their names but some how worse :?:

  • I loved I do Me, I really liked the instrumental but the vocals not so much, out of 5 girls I feel that only 2 have good vocals (Haum and Siun) and I think it's a song IVE could sing, just with a different concept.

I definitely didn't like the debut song, they abused the autotune a lot and again I realized that for now I don't like the vocals that much, but the video was really fun.

But I'm still very curious about Groundwork, I think that's the song that will define Kiiikiiii's true color!

  • The girls are very cute and stunning, their mvs are fresh and natural.

But when it comes to songs it is the total opposite.

I do me - very generic snooze fest song.

The one that they dropped today- no comment.

Fun, camp kpop songs can be good.

It sits at the same table as Woke Up in Tokyo by BM.

I hope their debut will be good

Guys I think their Title Track is I Do Me which will be released on all platforms later today and Groundwork is another bside released with their album :/

They’re called the TT I Do Me :huuh:

  • Yes I Do Me is the Title track :!: Debu Song and Groundwork are bsides

Changed the title of the thread from “What do you think about KiiiKiii’s pre releases?” to “What do you think about KiiiKiii’s Title Track and pre release?”.
  • Yes, the debut is with I do me and the 24th, which is when it will be available on the platforms, will be the debut date, that's why they released Debut song earlier as a celebration haha

But I think that in March they will release a MV for Groundwork and with it more promotions on music shows and such, so I think it will also be a debut something like BM.

  • nice members overal but poor vocals (to be honest I only find haum great, her vibes are insane and she looks good in an interesting way, her voice seems ok too)

nice ideas for the concept (heavily njz inspired  ) but poor execution

i dislike that they are trying to be like njz because apparently their ceo thinks that njz are over or smth. i don't need another njz like group even with some variations, there is already a great njz.

i doenst sits well with me that there is anogher group mimicking my faves, when my faves are basically still rookies and when the creative director of the said group isn't mhj.

it pisses me off that these companies are just lazily and greedily following mhj formula step by step and try to replace her work on the market. just make your own damn plan and share your own damn vision.

the creative director of triple s is a perfect example of doing a y2k coming of age typa concept WHILE maintaining auhtenticity,, artistry and individuality. so props to him. but these 5th gg using njz as their moodbord look just cheap and shameless.

imagine the same thing happening amongst the big companies in usa (not some nugus). like right after chapelle and sarbina exploded, there is someone that comes back with a similar concept and lore as them, vaguely and purposfouly looking like them, cosplaying their persona and sh*t and they're promoted everywhere! that would be pathetic and ridiculous. well there you go.

but to comback puerly on the music side, i didn't like their releases. the first one is fine but again the execution both production and interpretation wise is mediocre at best. there is no replay value for me because there is no real personality, emotions or beauty or even much harmony in the vocal delivery. and the song is very basic.

to put it simply, their voices are mid. in the end, njz is primarly carried by their great music.

  • there there...your gonna be alright
