That comment :
“I’d rather see someone overdo it than do the bare minimum.”
Yes, for me it is bad at least when you are in a group/team
Doing the bare minimum or overshadowing your group isn’t good.
Some examples:
- When there's a rap duet in your group's song, going back and forth... you both have to be in the same mood,
If one is rapping normally and the other is yelling and screaming throughout their verse, it's just going to sound messy.
You both have to shout or stay in the normal verse. (you must reach an agreement)
- Dance: Lots of people have something to say about this one.
Unfortunately I agree with fans who criticize idols who do the bare minimum and I validate the criticism (as long as it doesn't go off topic).
I hate defending something that is indefensible, something that needs to be pointed out to be corrected.
But it's ironic that Kpop fans often turn a blind eye when they see someone overperforming. And praise them by saying that they gives 100% of their energy while the others don't.
No, the others don't do less, it's your fav who is overexcited for some reason.
I've seen someone overperform in a slow song when the song didn't require it.
Conclusion, it's not that fans are never satisfied (or maybe they are) but balance is important in a team.
