In this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Oppa by Airisu
Everyone in Airisu had previously debuted. Hanu was in a group called Airi (not related to this group) and 10X10. Yina was in Pocket Girls and Tweety. Eunbi and Eunji were soloists. They clearly working with a low budget, but it's a cute little song. They weren't going to dominate the industry with this song, but it would have been nice to see them improve.
AiRiSu did not last long. Just a year later they quietly disbanded. Yina went on to become a DJ and she owns the rights to the YouTube channel now. She re-debuted in Laysha when they were really active in 2023. Sadly she left the team earlier this year. Eunbi joined a ballad group called Q.O.S and left a year later. HanU still releases music as a solo artist. She's done a few OSTs over the years.
