Good thing Kamala didn’t become president

  • How she handled the campaign finances reflects on how she’d handle the country’s economy. Just wasting 2 BILLION on making rich people richer (celebrity endorsements), various frivolous things, trying to woo white men instead of minorities. “White guys for Kamala” caping was extremely cringe and ineffective. All she has to do was promise to give struggling working class people and minorities a stimulus a she could have won.

  • As an american, I'm only on my second election but I'm already exhausted at the "lesser of two evils" paradigm that US politics has.

I blame the First past the post voting that all states, except, really, maine which has Instant Runoff voting. Technically other states have also "not FPTP" voting but it's basically the same. where only the top two duke it out in runoff.

in truth IRV (instant runoff) doesn't solve the two-party rule issue. George Washington was right and I'll quote his farewell address:

" However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion. "

for further reading, the whole entire paragraph from which this quote was lifted from is even more damning.

    https://founders.archives.gov/…to,to%20unjust%20dominion.

It should be noted, paragraphs before and after that one also speaks at length of the dangers of any sort of political grouping, outside what is officially recognized in delegation to the government.

  • If only BTS had endorsed Kamala, like they did Biden indirectly via BLM, she would have won.

BLM leaders have enriched themselves, this time Kamala cut out the middle layer and paid celebrities directly, that did not work it seems.

Maybe BSH wanted to be in with Broligarchs and kept BTS oppar in the army. So Trump won.

  • You mean by blowing money? Both parties blow money when they take control. They really only complain when they are not in control. Since the USD is the reserve currency, no one really cares about spending too much as long as they are the ones spending it.

  • It's the populist vs establishment, trumpism vs neolibrilism. The Democratic Party has strayed too far to the left, leaving the average American and their best interests behind. Instead of addressing broadly impactful and relatable issues, they have chosen to cater to niche groups like the trans community, which does nothing but alienate the broader population. There's no more room left for the centrists and critical thinkers anymore which I find a travesty, they'll just end up voting for trump bc like you said the "lesser of two evils"

I feel I can add on as well:

As with most things political, most things portrayed as a contest between one side and another often falsely paints the picture of mutual exclusivity, whereas often it can, with sober and clinical legislation, be achieved wherein a blend of the two seemingly disparate sides coexist in a functional manner. In fact is forced by the nature of the country existing as a whole, not that the politically defeated, or indeed, the militarily ousted side ceases existence after a handover or a revocation of power.

The Cold War is the most glaringly obvious example: Where the US often tried to frame communism and democracy mutually exclusive, it is very simply not. One is an economic system, and the other is for voting.

Indeed it seems that the mysticism behind the elusive "widely bipartisan bill" discredits both political parties' "the opposite is your enemy" , and yet, indirectly takes into consideration more of the population, and thus indirectly represents more of the population than a uni-party bill could ever achieve. This achieves a higher order accuracy to what the American populace would have wanted, or at least agreed with, and yet no one seems to be willing to deal with the political opposite since "they're the enemy".

I lament the departure of the willingness to cooperate, and the fractionated nature of political power. I cannot claim to know what it must be like in an America before political parties, but I conclude that it must be better than having parties. For these parties consist of politicians loyal to the party, and not to us, the citizen.

This is so true, when you cater to the niche group and alienate most of the rest of the population they will look to someone else, even if they aren’t the best candidate.

  • Looks like they Cashed out the campaign donations.

From the start appointing Harris as the nominee. Allowed access to campaign monies already collected. No other candidates could use that money.

Most of the Billion went to campaign administrators who grossly overcharged. Zaping out the entire campaign finances. Did a nice job cleaning out the account. One percent into the Red, will not attract too much attention that could lead to an investigation.

They knew Harris wouldn't win. Harris was just a catalyst to skim the money.

Of course can look at it as how Politicians who now spend Trillions can easily blow through a Billion in a few days.
