what do you think about the current 5th gen girl group line up ? (compared to the early 4th gen lineup)

Honestly, they're weaker and more plain. No one's really standing out like Karina, Wonyoung, or Yuna individually. The discography’s not doing much for me either compared to the early 4th-gen groups. Dare I say, it’s the weakest start we ever see for a girl group generation...

First comes discography, and 5th gen ggs are not it honestly except kiss of life! 5th gen bgs have better discographies: Zb1, Riize, TWS, BND, Nct Wish, Plave all of them have very good discography. And yes I agree that 5th gen ggs have weakest discography overall

We have stand out idols from 5th gen ggs tho such as Chiquita Ahyeon Natty and some others, but some of them would fit to be a solo artist not a group member

Talent wise it is 50/50 some groups are very talented such as Babymonster and KiOf and some are average (I shall not name them)

i have my illit so ill be happy no matter what

but besides them, theres also baemon, kiof, and unis, who i also like a lot

4th gen ggs in general have better discography than bgs. For the 5th gen I'm finding it's actually the opposite so far.

With the exception of Kiss of Life...

So far, 5th Gen for me is just disappointing. Boring. Lacking energy. Lacking pizzaz. Full of kindergarteners. Full of companies playing it safe.

I really hope something interesting happens next year because 5th gen is just killing my vibe.

5th > 4th

In terms of music, both are delivering ngl

But in 4th, i was only really invested outside of music in Itzy ( and later lesserafim )

In 5th i am really interested in many outside of music so far! BM, Meovv, KIOF, for Illit im really enjoying Minju content

There seems to be potential here I would not dismiss the generation yet!

I feel like the groups are talented but they haven't given me any music I want to listen to other then kiss of life. I really enjoy the direction those girls are going. The rest, no.

Boring lazy sloppy only KIOF/Rescene are doing it for me

Both gens are good imo. I like groups in both gens and I see the potential in 5th gen.

I think 5th gen are better performers than early 4th gen already so... They just need better songs bc they also are super talented, I'm specially fond of Meovv and I really enjoy watching Baemon and KIOF.

I like 5th gen! I think they’re just in 4th gens shadows kind of like early 4th gen were overshadowed by 3rd gen Also 4th gen didn’t have as long in the limelight like 3rd gen did so as a result 5th gen might have to wait a few more years for public interest to shift in their favor

previous generation always seem better than the new one

but I like 5th gen groups so far, I'm patiently waiting for the first major 5th gen hit

gen 5 is basically like a zero in addition—adds nothing. Every other generation has managed to produce at least one group that’s both impactful on the general public and dominates the charts with a massive fanbase (e.g., TWICE, aespa, NewJeans, 2NE1, SNSD, miss A, etc.). But can you believe it? The most ‘influential’ group of Gen 5 right now is KIOF, and they’re just... mediocre at best.

still, it might be too early to say anything.

IZNA has a great discography so far. Their entire N/a album is 9/10 for me.

With that said I think it’s too early to judge 5th Gen considering that by this time in 4th gen groups like IVE, Le Sserafim, NewJeans, Nmixx, etc hadn’t even debuted yet. So let’s slow down the pumps
