Mods been stepping in though ,cheating a whole mega thread so the main forum doesn't have several similar topics against most users wishes.
And I don't see much toxic behaviour tbh it was a lot worse before in fact there really isn't that much activity at all. I mean sure some threads do well but they're the only threads doing well and there's no other active sections.
Do people really want policing to the extent this place turns into H.C OH 2.0? Because with under 1k posts a day (old forum averaged 7k a day) that's where it's headed. Asking for even more moderation is asking for that. At that point just DM Johnny himself tell him to shut it down lmao

This place is a freaking mess. It's filled with a bunch of deranged folk and the only sane people get drowned out by the loud mouth weirdos.
I'm not gonna say it's not entertaining but there's no cohesive and intelligent conversations on here, just a bunch of people who want to sound smart but really aren't.

I'm a somewhat willing participant since people keep tagging me and literally summoning me to these threads even though I've gotten probably 6 WPs for user call outs (make it make sense).
I stay petty so I don't have to get petty and own that I've definitely not helped with some of the toxic discourse, but most of that discourse has been aimed at me as much as the groups I stan (aka personal attacks) so idgaf.
OP has said some pretty toxic things in the Megathread but we'll let bygones be bygones as of this thread.

And I wish there was a 'Troll' environment I can't really see it. All I see is Yama writing essays. And the mhj HyBe thing.. a few baity threads but like if you want to talk toxic it would be like the plastics making alts to spam jungkook getting into car crash. There were some quite sick things happening pre reform and when this forum was starting.
I can't take hot K-pop takes seriously. I guess my threshold is quite high.

I am not talking about specific users, I know I display toxic behaviour too. This isn't about you but the forum in general reaching the kind of lows I haven't seen for a while. Shit starts to hit the fan when everyone starts fighting everyone else for no rhyme or reason and it descends into a sort of a chaotic anarchy.

Well, I think after 2+ years of intolerable smugness here and seeing the dirty laundry of the 2 companies who fans were the main exporters of said smugness being aired in real time many many people had to come out for the Lols and to honestly stoke the fire.
I think it was funny at first to watch the mass meltdowns over the last week's, I think now it's just getting lame.
Ive bodiesd a few users and laughed at certain groups getting exposed by this and hopefully made a few decent points along the way...but now it's just repeating the same old shite so I agree with OP...we've gotten to a point where it's peak and now's it's just tragic and embarrassing to keep it going on all fronts.
Let it be done. Even I'm dipping tmr and fucking off for a while since it's kind of making the forum boring now.

Yes plastics who were allowed to thrive till they got personal with you...well, it is pointless to discuss the benefits of a well moderated forum with you given how you love a laissez faire approach till you are personally at the receiving end.

Omg...I just watched Spritied Away 2 days back and am in the midst of Princess Mononoke. The movies are pretty much why I am in the frame of mind which led to the OP..lol
Personally my fave is Howl's Moving Castle. But god every work of Miyazaki is a piece of art in not just illustration but fantasy storytelling. I have not seen a single film of his on the big screen but thankfully his last work is currently playing on screens here so I am going to watch it today before it departs from theaters.

I watched most of them but haven't brought myself to watch graveyard of the fireflies yet cos it's very very sad
also my least fav film is Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind - not because it's bad it's a damn good film but because I've had to watch it a million times because of it's my oldest son's fav film lol

I've been watching Lovely Runner to purge myself of the recent AKP toxicity levels. Really loving what I've seen so far, but then again, I've always loved any drama with Kim Hye Yoon, going back to Extraordinary You.

Oh it just released here in my country in theaters this month and I was not even aware. Had gotten tired waiting for it release here since last July and would have missed it altogether had I not gone back to watching Ghibli films over the weekend and then looked up to see if The Boy and the Heron was available anywhere.

Grave of the Fireflies is one of the most traumatic, hearth breaking and powerful films ever made. I saw it twice - once when I was young and maybe about a year ago, I wanted to see it as an adult and it hurt too much. It is a legit warning that you have to prepare yourself emotionally before watching this.

we (my wife and I) watch a lot of gibhli's movies together but she told me this is one movie she will not watch so if I do it will have to be by myself lol
