They all have solid vocal tones...but the true winner in terms of SM idols is Karina.

This ain't even a question. Taeyeon is probably the best Kpop group vocalist of all-time. Wendy is the second, and Ningning is only 3rd because we can't mention others.

But i hate the video used. High notes compilation gets annoying no matter how good it is. I love Taeyeon’s singing overall especially her earlier days. I still like her voice now but it’s so much higher and thin which I realize is an intentional style she’s going with in her newer songs. Because when she sings old songs she sound as amazing as I can remember.

Yes, people always use high notes as a benchmark for judging vocalist, but it's only an aspect in singing. It's impressive but it's not all. And imo Taeyeon best strength lie in the way she has almost complete control in all her range and how she uses that to deliver the story of a songs. Like a top notch actress but with voice alone.

Exactly! I hate this in Kpop fandom. Most of the time, the so called "high-notes" fans are mention are not even hard to do, and I've seen so many people saying shouting is singing high notes as well.

Sure, the average fan won't understand this, but even if you don't know much about vocal techniques you can hear it when a singer doing it in a healthy way or is it forced and hard for them.

When they do it the right way, even if their stamina isn't the best, their voice is clear. When they do it the wrong way, you hear them breathing heavily. Not to mention, the next they will announce they have to take a break because it's hurting their vocal cords.

Taeyeon is the prime example when a singer can do everything. Singing perfectly, and have the ability to deliver the feels, too.

And there are singers like Rose from Blackpink, who's an average vocalist, but her delivery is on point when it comes to "acting", or I can mention IU, too. She's the better version of Rose, basically.

I would put Wendy and Taeyeon at the same level, they both have their strenghts while singing and it's just an amazing experience to listen to them. Ningning comes after them but she is still a nice singer with a beautiful voice.
