I agree there's a gap between dancers and idols trained to follow choreographies, but Le Sserafim, despite good performers, aren't really technically good hip hop dancers even for idol standards, so this was expected.
Same thing regarding soloist vocalist and idol who sings. But we can't look at it that way and needs to be really fair, a dancer or choreographer focuses only in dances and routines, while that is only 1 out of many things idol needs to do. Same thing with soloists who only sings and not dance.
If each idols were given a category and stick with it for as long as they can, they can be at that level- someday. Im sure there are outliers like Kwon Jin Ah, Lee Hi, Baek Yerin who are really really good at what they do and most idol won't be able to imitate. But the argument is still there that if the idol was only to focus on one thing, they might just do really well on it.
But then I guess at that point, they're not really idol anymore and becoming a dancer/choreographer and becoming singer/song writer lol.
shouldn't we consider them humans too?

No.
The difference in skill is so stark and obvious lol what

Hip hop is almost unanimously incorporated in a vast majority of kpop dances actually including almost all of LSFM’s previous dances.
Even when they dance easy I don’t feel it’s awkward just that next to the “real” way of dancing it’s a bit funny to look at lol.

I don't disagree, tic, that's why I don't think Le Sserafim is a standard even for idols. Maybe Kazuha is above average on her ballet, never saw her dancing to judge, but for K-pop, not that they are bad, but I've never seen them a standard for dancers.
But looking good and charismatic while playing with mannerisms and facial expressions doing their choreographies, drawing attention instead of making us bored is what make them good performers for me
i agree Le Sserafim is good dancers but their hip-hop style dance is not that good. Most of the other girl groups are not much different from them either. Itzy is considered the best even by professional dancers. They say they are way above other girl groups. I think Itzy is the best in this regard. I never felt or saw the backup dancers overshadow Itzy in general
I think it's understandable that everytime we call an idol a great dancer we are referring and comparing them to their cohorts - their peers and not the truly professional dancers...
wasn't it on SWF or something that chaeyeon went on and she is like on of the best dancers of the 4th gen and she only made it to the second round or something????
I remember once I showed her some chaeyeon and she showed me some clips from her fav dancing show - Street Dance of China and yes the difference is night and day (oh and ISaidISaid - the earlier seasons had Lay as a judge)
