My overall short analysis: Joy is a good singer, she doesn't have a unique tone, BUT that doesn't mean she's not unique! Her vocal tone is very similar to many female Kpop singer. To put it simple, she has a cute voice. Compared to Wendy or Seulgi, she's not as versatile and stable. I mean, she's a sub-vocalist for a reason. She's the embodiment of a Disney princess, honestly. If I want to be very critical, I would say she's average, but in Kpop standards, she better than most female Idol singers. Her mix is good, but she needs to work more on her stamina and lower register. Maybe when she becomes a real soloist.

She is my Red Velvet bias with Wendy because of her beautiful voice that really adds much flavor to Red Velvet songs. She is not the best technical singer out there but she is a nice singer overall.
