They are struggling to adapt because they can't change their ways. SM would've probably struggled too if LSM remained CEO, but they restructured with younger executives and within a year we get Riize.
Everything YG and JYP do is outdated, because they have a company culture that is hard to overwrite. You can't reeducate all these creative and employees and have them start doing something modern without coming off as a knock off.
Hybe doesn't struggle with it because Hybe is basically an umbrella company that consists of smaller companies. Hybe didn't create NJ Ador did, Hybe didn't create LSFM Source did and so on. Small companies don't have a particular culture or legacy, it is easier for them to adapt.
