this one is a little better ngl
and there's nothing wrong with idols getting perms obviously and im not saying that...
but that is another thing i dont understand, a lot of the Asian entertainment industry will hate dark skin but love to give their idols box braids, cornrows or afros....
and i know dark-skinned people aren't necessarily the only people to have afros but you get what im saying?? If you want to adopt certain aspects of a culture you should at least respect where it came from...
AND PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING STOP MAKING CURLY HAIRED IDOLS STRAIGHTEN THEIR HAIR... if they made the decision themselves then that's different... i know that companies want to keep up an "image" and that applies even outside of the k-industry and to an extent they do have control of an idols "look" but idols should never feel ashamed of their skin or hair.

this was her skintone for her whole career till DTNA era
now im not white, and I know some white people think anything less than ghostly pale is tan, but to me it doesnt look "tan" by korean standards unlike most of the other examples in this thread
No i would say that is pretty pale in consideration to the natural spectrum of korean skintones, but i think in comparison to predebut photos its pretty obvious that she has bedn doing something to lighten or keep her skin lighter
