Anyone feel like we left the Big 3 Era behind in 3rd Gen and now Hybe is the Big 1?

Anyone who denys the massive privilege that rest of the big 3 companies still have till this days is dumbass.

Although Nmixx and Itzy are most likely done, I feel JYP is in good shape. They got Twice who will be around for another 2.5 years and also Stray Kids, who are 1 breakthrough song away from global superstardom. I'm not a fan, but if I were a betting person, I'd bet on Stray Kids to be the next BTS.

Stray kids can be uber successful, or even surpass BTS by a hundred million times 🤷‍♀️, but only BTS is the next BTS.

If you substrate BTS, then no. BTS is a complete outlier in the industry and like others have said, their success would be near impossible to recreate, so it’s not really related to their company at all.

And we really need to talk about longevity. SM, JYP, and YG (barely) have survived multiple generations. If we count BTS as their debut, HYBE is currently on their 1st gen in the industry and benefit heavily from new kid/trendy status in the industry + BTS name ID.

When HYBE continues to produce their own idols into successful groups and solo careers for gens, we can start having that conversation.

I think they have the most “active” top groups. While other companies just have 1-2. But they don’t feel like one top.

HYBE : 17, NJ, LSFM, TXT

JYP : SKZ, Twice

SM : Aespa, NCT, RIIZE(?)

YG: BP

NJ do feel like a huge hit but we still have SKZ for BGs and TXT and LSFM don’t feel bigger than Aespa or NCT either. So not really a one “top”….actually currently is the time when everyone feels very equal. Before ONLY SM used to get sales and ONLY YG Used to get digitals. Now I feel like there’s a better balance between the companies and JYPE’s current era is their MOST successful era between SKZ and Twice.
