One that it's a norm to pronounce incorrectly is giga (like in gigabyte, gigahertz). If GZA, from Wu-Tang, is pronounced "Jizz-ah", why would giga sound like "gig-ah" instead of "jiga"? One of my teachers roasted the whole class on this.

I just realised recently that Choi is pronounced differently. I thought "oi" was pronounced the same way as "oy" from "joy".

I purposely pronounce gif wrong. I'm not saying jif, even though that's technically how you're supposed to say it.
