Fanwars are as meaningless as everything you mentioned in your post.

Most people here are really young, have that in mind. They are here to have fun and kill some time (not generalizing though). If were in my teenage years I wouldn't want to engage in meaningful conversations in a kpop forum either.

rip that’s so true though. I mean, conversations can be sophisticated and long if it’s fitting for the tone of the topic, but if it’s playful then i doubt anything that is worth typing out long drawn out sentences will be prevalent.

Unless you want to start a synonym competition, to help draw out more words from us, i don’t think you’ll find it here. Especially since we’re like, already exhausted from school...

Real life has been pretty sad. I have a feeling some might avoid meaningful conversations for different reasons and whether we like it or not, allkpop is still a safe place for us to get our minds off things.

I think akorns ruined this forum a bit, a large portion of people are obsessed with them and would rather spam 1 emote or very short messages that contribute nothing. Not like we didn't have people like this pre-revamp but there was still a lot more conversation

whenever I start a convo (which is rarely), I often don't put long sentences or paragraphs because I don't really have that much to say. if I've had a random thought that I want to share, I'll just put it how it is and not really think too much.

and I don't mind heated conversations / fanwars that much. I just prefer not to be involved because it ends badly sometimes and I'd rather stay away from that due to past experiences on other sites.

Makes sense, with covid and everything else going on in the world, meaningful conversations could be avoided to not bring more sadness or anger to anyone. Yes we are very safe here, its nice
