IVE becomes now the BEST SELLING 4th generation Girl Group in Circle Album Chart HISTORY!

Some newer boy groups have started charting on digitals again, and some newer girl groups are starting to be big physical sellers again. I wonder if we're seeing the beginning of things evening back out after being so mismatched

They're big sellers objectively, but they're still way behind the boys. The top boy groups are still selling the top girl groups' entire career totals in one year, sometimes in one album. Case in point: TXT sold more albums this year than Blackpink did in their entire history. But IVE just passed BP's career total in only 3 years, and there are some other 4th gen girl groups hot on their trails.

TXT and IVE are actually the perfect example of what I'm talking about. They coincidentally just released albums at the same time on the same day.

On day 1 TXT sold more than twice as many physical albums as IVE did, and IVE got more than twice as many digital ULs as TXT did.

TXT is doing great digitally for a boy group, and IVE is doing great physically for a girl group, but they're both still struggling to match up to the opposite gender's primary medium. But the gap seems like it might slowly be closing, on both sides, for more than just TXT and IVE.
