This just puts into perspective how far behind Kpop is when it comes to global mainstream recognition. 9 million streams for one song? The only ones that can exceed, match or come close to this are BTS and BP. Most of us are just happy if our faves break 2M, the very lucky few i think break 3M like NJ...

Taylor's second weeks are usually weak. Around 80-90K and JK will pass that easily. I think for all the members, JK is in the most advantageous position when it comes to debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. Additionally, Seven and 3D will contribute greatly to the album as they probably will be included in the album.

Not giving JK a full length would be a missed opportunity IMO.

Wut? I said exceed, at, or close to. To me 6-7 M is a lot closer to 9M than the typical 1-2M that almost all Kpop groups do.

ETA: Actually i was wrong. Looks like the number is 7.9M

but if you actually look into the number, it concentrated in the south asian country like Vietnam and Thailand, where the stream is not unusually high. 1 million in vietnam spotify never happens with any local artists.

so why did Seven get these stream, if you look at twitter, it turned out armys find a way to cheat the system, unfortunately. spotify may have not made the decision yet but later in the stage, they will, like what Billboard did.
