Fyi PV actually debuted with 10.7M streams 💀
[BTS CONTENT] After seeing Seven's debut outstream Doja Cat's whole album, it got me wondering about how his mini album debut will fare. Can it challenge Taylor Swift's Midnight?

but if you actually look into the number, it concentrated in the south asian country like Vietnam and Thailand, where the stream is not unusually high. 1 million in vietnam spotify never happens with any local artists.
so why did Seven get these stream, if you look at twitter, it turned out armys find a way to cheat the system, unfortunately. spotify may have not made the decision yet but later in the stage, they will, like what Billboard did.
It's funny because Thai blinks copied V-Army's streaming method and applied it to Lisa's Money but only Moneys streams were filtered by half. Says a lot who is the cheater and who is legit lol. Seven went semi-viral in Vietnam btw so Jungkook didn't only get Armys but also locals' support fyi.

We are still awaiting spotify to decide on money bot streams first..uwwu
I mean the irony of a Blonk to type all that, is it dumbness or lack of self awareness?

Fans of local artists dont stream hard but Kpop fans do. Streams from Thailand and Vietnam only count for 13% of Seven's total streams meanwhile if you look at, for example, Money from LS, 70% of its stream come from Thailand and almost 60% of it was filtered out.
Its not new that fans and labels find a way to push numbers, be it Kpop or USUK music industry but its weird that THEY often only target at Kpop.
Fans always find a way to inflate numbers to some extents, but at least streams from Army are counted for chart, which means they are not from a group of people looping days and nights.
If you say its cheating then tell me which Kpop artists whose fans dont "cheat"?

Literally super viral in thailand too, every other actor was doing the 7 challenge.

This is why I found a Blonk attacking Seven's Thai and Viet streams so funny, like bro BTS actually does not depend on SEA the way their faves do.

yeah it's a legit global hit despite what delusional blinks say

not sure why you brought Lisa into the story, and even though Lisa is the most popular idol in Thailand, she never got 1 million streams per day in Thailand. the number in these asian country is abnormal. There is nothing wrong to admit Armys found the trick for spotify system. it was share before and have been implemented a lot by them recently.

She doesnt get 1M on spotify Thailand chart because the group of Thai fans of her are using a method that causes most of the streams not qualified for chart. Lisa fans admited half of the streams of Money come from a Thai team. And when Money daily streams suddenly decreased in half, her fans said it was due to her Thai team had "a technical issue". Lol
I brought Money because its the most notorious case of inflated number since you want to talk about "cheating" and abnormal numbers. Lol

Taylor's second weeks are usually weak. Around 80-90K and JK will pass that easily.
Midnights had 342k and Speaknow 121k second week. 1989 might be closer to Midnights.

I think the number one is really important to secure in this case so I'd rather them release his album a week in which that is guaranteed, potentially even for a second week. I can see him doing 250-300k, if they're smart and provide plenty of physical options. No real rush to get this out but a lot of pressure to get it right.

This...I have been saying this to byakuyav ...Taylor week 2 is equivalent to the biggest artists week 1 and with her biggest album's TV, its impossible for anyone to be 1 in week 2 either. 1989 TV is already doing better than Midnights in preorders, her 2nd week for it could be as high as 300k units.

The performance of Taylor's album always varies depending on the number of extra songs she adds and the number of album versions she makes. Not every album of her reaches 300K sales in its second week. The average is around 80-150K. JK can pass this easily. JK may even push 250K as fans will buy more for the fight against Taylor. I'm not underestimating Taylor's potential, I just believe in JK's potential.
And even if he debuts in second place instead of first, that's not such a bad thing. This just proves once again how bad HYBE is at planning. It was a choice to release Olivia and Tae's albums on the same day. It was a choice to write an article about their racist rivals at the expense of insulting Jimin and Suga's albums. It is also a choice that JK and Taylor's albums will be released so close to each other.
