I'm a public servant, I work for my State Government.
I'm in a senior manager role in our first level IT support desk for our states public health system. Weirdly, it's not really a hugely IT based role as much as it's customer service.
Our state employs about 97,000 staff directly in our health department, plus external nurses, students, contractors etc.
My role, which is on a 24/7, 365 schedule, involves being the first point of call for any of those 100k odd people with their IT concerns, from simple ass password resets and account management to "Its 2am and the statewide electronic hospital records system has gone down" and needing to on call and liase with higher level support teams and field all the customers calls and concerns on it up to "A patients about to go into surgery and the anaesthetic monitoring machine is down". Being a senior, I usually have to manage a team of fellow IT people during say overnight or weekend shifts.
The customer service side is those employees, many being at the direct front of health care and patient care have much more important things to do than worry about a monitor not working, and often contact us quite rushed, aggravated, upset, panicked etc and need a reassuring voice that their issue will be resolved rather than a typical "IT person" who arrogantly tells them to restart the computer.
Also, it pays well enough (particularly as a shift worker) that I can fit in two overseas holidays a year... and with 6 weeks paid annual leave, get the time to do so.
Holy shit, I just wrote a novel...

Generic businessman. Senior Management role. I live in the U.S. and work for a large German company (love the company). Our North America headquarters is in my city. Our work environment is hybrid, but unlike most I enjoy working in the office (extrovert who loves to interact with people/build relationships).

've always been interested in the medical field, and lately I've been looking how to Become a Phlebotomist – you know, the folks who work their magic and draw your blood for tests. Seems like a good way to get my foot in the door of the medical world, but I'm not sure where to start.
Anyone here phlebotomists or work in a related field? What's the day-to-day like? Is there a lot of demand for qualified phlebotomists? I hear it's a career you can learn relatively quickly – is that true?

At the moment I work for a online seller, specialised in buying and selling collectable items like plushis, Swarovski and more
Is a bit stressfull if you can't find the item in the warehous and you need to ship it out to a specific date
My work is mainly printing shipping lables, searching for items that have been sold and need to be shipped and if the boss isn't in store I also need to check customer emails sometimes
