Basically... Dispatch dropped the initial rumour news, Jisoo/Boyfriend/Agencies knew there was possibly more concrete proof coming (especially if Jisoo and Bo-Hyun weren't being super careful) and instead of letting a scuzzy gossip news source completely reveal it first, why not control the narrative and reveal yourselves?

Not. Very. Likely. Idols are almost never voluntarily open about their private lives, even the more careless ones who don't painstakingly take every measure possible to hide it. Lol that's also because you want them to disband (and they won't) This scenario you're building didn't apply to YGE's own artist Taeyang and Hyorin though.... He renewed his contract after their dating confirmation and is still with YGE/TBL since then.

I only want them to disband because I know it will make their obnoxious fans cry a river. But that really has nothing to do with my speculation here. My wanting their disbandment and their actual likelihood of disbandment -- which is considerably higher than you'd like it to be -- are kept separate. This is my estimation of what happened based entirely on my knowledge of how the business works, and how Dispatch works, not "I want BP to disband so I'll just say some shit." I'm better than that.

What you're saying may be true since we all saw what happened between SNSD and SM during their contract renewal period. But I don't think it's the case for BP and YGE like I mentioned. Besides BP's brand is too lucrative and compared to SM back then (they had other acts to carry the company) while YGE heavily relies on BP atm.
