Isn't it math/proportion? The more fans you have, the more you will sell, the bigger are the possibilities of these albums people find out being by bougroups. And top boygroups have away bigger fandoms.

It will happen soon for girlgroups as well. The mass buying trend has only started recently for GGs.

I always see those same pictures and they are always the same albums from the same two groups: Seventeen's FML and NCT's Ressonance and Universe

I'm pretty sure the point here is you're just seeing the same pics over and over

Those pictures are also always from Korea, where I believe GGs don't sell much

I don't believe those are the only three albums to ever have experienced bulk buying, it's more likely nobody bothered to record other albums and groups, or simply that fans of other groups were mode mindful with their trash

There are several female idols selling 400k+ albums and many ggs selling 1 million albums but they aren't being dumped

I personally haven't seen pictures of albums being thrown at streets by most boygroups who are selling well. Even the ones in the OP, I haven't seen It being recorded for all their albums. But we pretty much know all of them have many fans doing it consistently every cb.

What I meant is, just because we aren't seeing, doesn't mean It isn't happening. Obviously, for some groups, It will be proportionally easier to find these pictures for obvious reasons, but kpop stans operate the same in every fandom.

Kindly correct me if I'm wrong, 'cause those are the latest total streams of each group that I managed to find on Twitter. I only used MelOn for domestic charts and Spotify for global charts, since those two streaming platforms are the most known among K-pop fans. But, we might have a different outcome if we inlcude other streaming platforms like Genie, Bugs, Flo, Vibe, QQ Music, LINE, Apple Music, etc.

Red Velvet only sold 1 million for the first time last year. They were dragged for many years for their "poor" physical sales compared to their streams so it's funny to hear the other way around today. TNone of the boy groups that you mentioned can hold their own against Red Velvet in Korea if we are speaking about streams and on streaming platforms like Spotify, their streams do match their sales.
