I dont think this MV is about stockholm syndrom

In the beginning you see the girls and SHINee whispering things to each other. The kidnapping is implied to have been planned on part with SHINee themselves.

The story is more on how they could live life more freely without public/media eye on them all the time.

While it starts "in media res", it does tell a coherent, but very violent story

Seriously. It's VERY violent. Dont watch it if violence and blood upsets you.

Most current is AgustD’s Haegeum and its predecessor Daechwita. Very artistic but good storytelling

There are few in kpop that make concepts as interesting as Shinee. Taemin's song Criminal was inspired by stockholm syndrome too. I think the visual and aesthetic part is more important in kpop, the story parts are not always that clear. We used to theorize a lot at Red Velvet to find the connection between the MVs. So of course there is a story, but they are generally inspired by movie concepts in kpop. Bad Boy: Kill Bill, Psycho,: Black Swan. Le Sserafim may have been inspired by the movie the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. But of course, it can also be linked to webtoon stories.

I actually prefer MVs with a storyline but I can also appreciate MVs that are more symbolic or even aesthetic for the sake of aestheticism.
