Me neither but I'll end up watching anyway
They are clearly experimenting after Queendom S2 flopped.

It flopped?

It flopped?
Yes it definitely flopped. Viewership was very low and while I guess WJSN had decent sales with their first comeback after the show, they're now in some weird state where nobody is sure if they are disbanding or not. YT views might seem fine (although low compared to Kingdom or Queendom S1), they rely on advertising revenue first and foremost so if the Korean ratings are low it's most certainly a flop.
Viewership being low for MNET survival shows is a recent theme. SMTM season 11 also flopped incredibly hard, to the point where they may not be a S12. No clue how BP999 did, probably better?

To be honest they have very little activities and the time between comebacks is quite long. If they didn't go on these shows people would forget about the group
I guess FNC realized this is a very effective and cheap (zero cost even?) way to promote the group.
Nugu vocal show was great

Rumor is they cut a lot of their funding for Prikil just to do absolutely nothing with them too. They keep debuting these groups and then wasting them, idgi

Boys Planet had full arena for final episode, the show was a success even more than Girls Planet in those terms
people were craving those survivals but in a way they wanted to experience it live not in home like in corona times

Yeah even without watching the show I did get the impression BP999 was quite a success since it's basically being talked about everywhere by everyone, both I-roaches and Koreans.
Going to be fun to see if they can be as successful as WannaOne. X1 was certainly heading in a crazy trajectory before they disbanded. If you look at the sample of boy groups from survival shows the track record is quite crazy compared to GGs..
