If you are kpopfan who doesn't follow charts/sales/orders statistics then it's so hard to keep up with who the top groups are

I know barely anything about charts. I learned here that hot100 depends on radio play, that i know. As for numbers and records I'm usually clueless.

The only important thing is that fans like the music, it's made for them after all. Good charting won't change my mind over someone's music

Well to help you not struggle anymore.. Just always remember there are 2 top groups. BTS for boy groups and BP for girl groups

Conversely physical album sales are also not as impressive as they used to be with digipaks and versions and what not.

The only metric I somewhat care about is unique listeners(melon, Spotify) and filtered streaming like YouTube chart and Spotify global and Gaon streaming chart.

Concerts are also another important metric but people may not yet be on tour or on break etc so it’s not an immediate metric that can be assessed but it’s good to judge overall popularity.

As a kpop stan, is vital to know all about korean charts and sales on daily basis, otherwise you could die. Dont risk your life not knowing

These are Korean rankings which are the most relevant since these are Kpop artists. Global charts, Western charts, they're all important but what these idols care about the most is how they're accepted by the Korean GP.

I had never paying any attention to domestic charts until the beginning of this year. Nowadays watching a melon charts is akin to watching football league table.
