Do you guys think Starship not sharing the pre-order numbers is a stupid or smart move?

They never revealed the pre sales of their previous releases either iirc, we only find out in the circle chart

I know but this is full album tho, I thought not revealing sales was just them being shocked the singles were so high so they would announce the albums ones

It seems like they really dont care, I admit I was curious but it's understandable since it's lowkey irrelevant
I wonder if its a smart move bc in a hyper competitive market such as kpop showing low sales could motivate the fans to buy more
They really said fuck em success stans i salute them for that, it's an interesting choice for sure
they will probably keep doing the same strategy of not revealing pre sales numbers in every release

I dont know if its the same for Starship, but SM only reveal pre order numbers when they are higher or at least equal to the group last album

Starship never revealed the pre-sales of previous releases so I'm assuming its their strategy. I dont remember if it made a big difference on circle chart either to tell if the pre-sales were that high because i stopped following after 1st week. I remember everyone being surprised about After Like's numbers on circle though, so there's that.
Imo not mediaplaying about the high numbers of their single album sales was a missed opportunity with or without pre-sales numbers, i think starship really is either oblivious to this kind of stuff or disapproves this type of approach

Looks like every kpop company with big popular groups do that though
Some kind of benefit probably comes from it?

Never stopped to think they don't release pre-order numbers for NMIXX until you mentioned.
But yes, the only groups they release stock pre-orders' articles consistently are TWICE and Stray Kids

My opinion is that they want bragging their groups are growing/getting more popular, that's why most of them (If not all) don't release pre-orders' numbers If they are too close from the last release or the numbers decreased.
I also have a theory that, when they release pre-orders' numbers too early before the release, they want to motivate the fandom to buy more and reaching a specific goal, but I'm not sure if It works for all.

Only circle chart will tell if it's bc of the numbers or really sse's decision
Based on how they did the same thing for every ive release i'm inclined to think they just dont care
They could brag about having the highest sales for a single album but didnt
It's curious but since theyre not used to a record breaker group it makes sense they decide to focus on other things
Other companies at keast have experience in mediaplay

This might be true. Forget pre-order numbers, I don't even think I've seen what the album versions that I bought even looks like yet. Like wtf Starship. Release that shit, you asshole.
